RSP Exit Preplanned

Left Democratic Front Convener Vaikom Vishwan today said that, exit of the Revolutionary Socialist Party from the LDF and their decision to join the Congress led United Democratic front was not a sudden development and was scripted much earlier. It is notable that months back some UDF leaders had predicted that two LDF members would switch sides to the UDF.

It is ironical that the RSP which has been actively involved in the struggles waged by the LDF against the UDF government’s policies and had made fiery speeches against them, has switched sides.

A statement issued by the LDF said that the Left in the country is earnestly trying to mobiles the secular and democratic forces in the country to fight against the neo liberal policies of Congress and communal designs of BJP. RSP is also engaged in this endeavor. But the opportunistic stand taken by certain leaders in Kerala will be realized by the RSP workers who always stood with the Left and democratic forces.
