Sitaram in Thrissur

Apr 06, 2014

CPI(M) Polit Bureau Member  Sitaram Yechuri campaigned in various constituencies in Kerala today. He began from various centres in Chalakkudi from where LDF supported independent Innocent is contesting. A day earlier Sitaram addressed a meeting in Mannuthi, in Thrissur.

In his 40-minute long speech, Sitaram dwelt upon the national political situation in detail. He expressed the hope that Kerala will return LDF candidates in large numbers to pave the way for the formation of a non-Congress, non-BJP alternative government at the centre.

He appealed the people to vote for his old friend since his student days, C N Jayadevan, the CPI-LDF candidate from Thrissur constituency. Sitaram accused Jayadevan’s opponent P C Chacko of the Congress of indulging in a cover up in the 2G spectrum scam in his capacity as the Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee.
