Whom Does TMC Support: Poor Investors or the chit fund owners? Surjya Kanta Mishra

May 10, 2014

Surjya Kanta Mishra, opposition leader and CPI(M) Polit Bureau member speaking  at the meeting offered revolutionary greetings to the people of Keshpur  and the likes of Shyamsundar and Rupali Santra – comrades, who despite attacks have upheld the red flag in face of life threats from TMC miscreants.  He said that under all circumstances the democratic rights of the people have to be defended.

TMC goons tried all possible means to obstruct people from participating in meetings. They even fired bullets on a group of people on their way to the meeting. But all this could not deter people who walked together into the meeting ground defying the ruling party’s politics of terror.

The Left Front candidate from Ghatal, Santosh Rana addressing the gathering said, “Ghatal has been the land of glorious struggles against oppression, for India’s independence, for land reforms. We have to protect this tradition. We have to defeat the TMC”.

Mishra commenting on the Supreme Court’s order to transfer the investigation of the Saradha scam to the CBI, said that the people have taken note of TMC’s mistakes in its 3 year term. Now is the time to question Mamata and the TMC, to ask them on whose side are they really are – on the side of chit fund scamsters or on the side of the poor people who have invested their hard labour and life savings.
