Manik Sarkar, Chief Minister of Tripura and Polit bureau member of CPI (M), speaking in a rally in Goria in support of Dr. Sujan Chakraborty the candidate for Jadavpur Lok Saba seat said that snatching away the income and livelihood of working people is a crime and people who help in this crime are criminals as well. Sudipto Sen was directly behind the loot of crores of savings of the poor men and women in the state, but it was the government of Mamta Banerjee, which gave him a free hand. When governments of Odhisa and Tripura have already ordered a CBI enquiry into the matter, then why is the West Bengal government reluctant to do so, asked Manik Sarkar. On the spate of violence, threats and intimidations against the Left supporters, he expressed confidence that people will rise in rebellion and vote against the attacks on democratic rights in the state by the ruling Trinamool Congress.
