Take Stern Action Against Rapists

Jharkhand State Secretariat of CPI(M) has strongly condemned the alarmingly increase in the cases of gang rapes in the state. Most of the victims are minors.
 
At Hazaribagh district headquarters, a student of class 12 was repeatedly raped by a gang of four men over two days. It is apprehended that at least nine persons were involved in the heinous crime. One of the accused, Dhanu, is the son of DSP (CID HQ) Arjun Ram. The other accused named in the FIR are Anurag Basu, Sonu and Nitish Kumar. It is reported that two of them have been arrested.
 
According to the statement of the girl while she was returning home from school at about 1.30 p.m. on August 26, she was forcibly taken to a bungalow and four persons repeatedly raped. The proprietor of the bungalow is Shrinjay Basu, Trimanul Congress Member of Parliament from West Bengal.
 
The four accused, fled the bungalow on August 28, leaving the girl behind, threatening of dire consequences if she dared to complain anywhere.
 
When the parents of the girl went to file a missing diary on August 27, they were adviced by the police to search for her themselves!
 
In Hazaribagh district headquarter, the CPI (M) organized a protest march which was led by district secretary Ganesh Kumar Verma and others.
 
In another incident on August 27, a dalit minor girl student of class 9 was gang raped by seven persons at Bundu, Block headquarter of Ranchi district. The victim was found unconscious on the roadside.
 
The CPI (M) state secretariat has condemned the utter callousness of the administration to take preventive measures against heinous crimes and demanded that the administration should take stern action against the criminals.
