Responding to the call given by the Gujarat State Committee of the Party, demonstrations were held across the state on September 6 demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Narendra Modi and initiating legal action against him in the wake of the disclosures made by jailed police officer Vanzara.
Leaders of the Party who were participating in peaceful demonstrations were arrested in different parts of the state. Among those arrested were state secretary Arun Mehta and other state committee members.
