Press Statement
The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:
The Polit Bureau strongly condemns the four blasts in Srinagar. In one of the attacks six tourists from West Bengal traveling in a bus were killed and others injured. These terrorist attacks have been perpetrated by forces who are inimical to the interests of the people of Kashmir and who do not want peace and normal life in the state.
It is incumbent upon the state and central governments to take effective measures to curb this violence and to eliminate the terrorist network.
The Polit Bureau conveys its heartfelt condolences to the families of all those who have lost their lives in the attack.
